Hotel Radisson SAS Plaza

Extension and renovation, City Center Hotel, Helsinki 1999

This Hotel building includes both renovated and restored SOK headquarters and a new infill building. The original building was built in 1921.This granite clad building was designed in the new renaissance style by the architect brothers Kauno S. Kallio and Oiva Kallio. The facade and some interior spaces of his building are protected under legislation regulated by the Finnish National Museum. These areas were integrated into the hotel for use as meeting rooms and a restaurant.

The new infill building was designed in a modern style; metal and glass with natural wooden panels between the windows form the facade.
